The Bijagós archipelago is a group of coastal and estuarine islands of Guinea-Bissau, consisting of 88 islands, islets and islets, located off of the African Atlantic coast, with a total emersed area of 2 624 km² and an estimated population of 32 400 inhabitants. This webdocumentary is part of a documentary series and began to be filmed in 1998, following the lives of the characters over more than a decade. Throughout the documentary it is possible to perceive the ageing of the characters.
