“Cidade Fábrica is an interactive and innovative documentary about Covilhã and the wool industry that developed there over the centuries.

The narrative, which is not watertight, is divided into three times:

Past – Cidade Fábrica – Present

With first-person testimonies, it safeguards the collective memory, recovering life in the factory, the working routine, child labour, gender inequality and disparity between classes;
With the help of specialists, it explains the evolution of the wool industry in the city and reveals its impressive industrial heritage.
